Dana Wilkins | Interim Head of Programmes and Impact

Dana joined GovRisk at the end of 2023 for short-term cover as the Interim Head of Programmes and Impact. She is responsible for managing GovRisk’s project portfolio, including acting as project director and expert on key projects in the Western Balkans and Mauritius.

Dana is a capacity development and change management expert, specialising in strengthening public sector institutions that promote transparency, accountability and corruption prevention. She has over 15 years of experience designing and managing the delivery of development programmes, alongside research, policy analysis and technical advice. She has worked in a variety of countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Eritrea, The Gambia, North Macedonia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Zimbabwe. 

In previous positions, she worked closely with Supreme Audit Institutions and other oversight bodies to build their capacity and deliver maximum value for citizens. She also managed due diligence for impact investments, covering risks related to bribery, money laundering, political exposure, whistleblowing, and corporate governance. She has written numerous advocacy and communication strategies, and designed and developed MIS and communication products using agile, UX and design thinking principles.

Dana has a Masters in law and development studies from SOAS and is a Certified ScrumMaster. She has also taken courses in UX design and behavioural change.
